Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the LastMemo & SafeTravel app and website (“LastMemo”). By creating an account you agree to them.

What LastMemo does

You set a timer. If you don't check in before the timer and its grace period end, we email your confirmed contacts. For Last Memo, we deliver the messages you wrote. When you check in afterwards, we send them an all-clear.

What we can't promise

We work hard to make alerts reliable, but they depend on things outside our control: your phone, your internet connection, email providers, spam filters, and our hosting providers. Alerts may be delayed or may not arrive. Please don't rely on LastMemo as your only safety measure, especially in high-risk situations. Tell someone your plans too.

Your responsibilities

• Only add contacts who know you and agree to receive alerts about you.
• Keep your contacts' email addresses up to date.
• Don't use LastMemo to harass, frighten, deceive or spam anyone, or to send unlawful content in a memo.
• Keep your email account secure, because it is how you sign in.

Subscriptions

LastMemo is free to start. Paid plans are sold through the App Store or Google Play and are billed by them. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Free trials and introductory prices convert to the regular price unless you cancel before they end. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Your content

Your notes and memos belong to you. You give us permission to store them and deliver them to the contacts you chose, and only for that purpose.

Words Left Behind

If you write a public message, you give us a free, worldwide permission to publish it on lastmemo.app with the name you chose, under the conditions in the app and our Privacy Policy: only after your LastMemo fires, a 7-day wait, and approval by a person. We may decline or remove any message at our discretion. Don't include contact details, links, other people's full names, or anything unlawful, hateful, threatening or advertising. A published message only means its writer stopped checking in. It is not a statement that they have died, and we can't verify what happened to them. To ask us to remove a message, use the Report link next to it or email hello@lastmemo.app.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service or break these terms, and will tell you when we can.

Liability

LastMemo is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from an alert that was delayed, not delivered, sent in error, or not acted upon, or from any interruption of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use LastMemo after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without affecting mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
